what happened

Late 2015. Pepe had escaped. He was on Instagram, on t-shirts, in the newspapers. The people who made him felt robbed.

So one anon on /r9k/ opened MS Paint and drew a yellow thing with a long face. He posted it into a Pepe trading thread and announced the succession.

Yarl was supposed to be underground. Deliberately ugly. Unmarketable. Something normies would never print on a hoodie.
